ranging from $100,000 down to $10.
Wintario MILLIONS is a nostalgic version of Ontario's first, and best
remembered, lottery game. "People today still fondly remember Wintario as the
first game they played, or as the game their parents played," said OLGC Senior
Vice President - Lottery, Alan Berdowski. "We're bringing the WINTARIO name
back as a special, limited time game with bigger prizes than ever."
WINTARIO was Ontario's first province-wide lottery game, launched in May
1975. The original game had a top prize of $200,000 with draws held every
second Thursday during a live TV show that traveled to various communities
across the province. The game was retired in the fall of 1996 after generating
more than $2.4 billion in sales and more than $1.1 billion in prizes.
